North Avenue West Provides Spirit and Awareness during Parent's Weekend

The North Ave West RAs planned a program designed as a "drop by" event on the way to the Tech vs. North Carolina football game by setting up in the first floor lobby.

The RAs caught a lot of residents headed to the game and distributed Alcohol Awareness flyers and a variety of face tattoos such as "Cheer Buzz," GT logos, and "eye black" like football players wear. A bushel of delicious ruby apples was provided for good measure!

Each resident who stopped by and picked up a tattoo and alcohol flyer was entered into a drawing to win a GT cap or group of GT window decals. Later that week, the remaining participants were added to a larger North Avenue drawing for 2 tickets to see the Top 10 "So You Think You Can Dance" perform at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. NAW 4th floor resident Robyn Flegal was the lucky winner!.

Although 3rd floor resident Brian Duke didn't want a "Tech Tattoo" for himself, his parents enjoyed taking part in the program.
