With the end of October in sight and crispness in the air, Woodruff-Fulmer Hall Council threw a Halloween Town Hall Event on Curran Deck. Costume and pie-eating contests, pumpkin painting and snacking and socializing were all on the agenda. Additionally, the Hall Council members solicited ideas for more programs and improvements within the halls. For many college students, Halloween means dressing up as unique characters. The big winners of the costume contest were A Road Warrior from Mad Max and a Pirate. "It was good to see residents come out in costumes. Tech students are so creative," commented Spandan Mehta, Events Coordinator for W-F Hall Council. After the costume results, the group voted on the best pumpkins that were decorated by the residents in the pumpkin painting contest. The winning pumpkin was a GT inspired pumpkin with second place going to a McDonald's Fry Kid pumpkin. The pie eating contest, where residents were able to see who could eat the most within a two-minute timeframe proved to be both fun and popular! "At the end of the night I was really happy to see everyone that came out had fun!" exclaimed Ryan Folk, first-year Hall Council Representative.
