Freshmen Activities Board Hosts Kids@Kollege

The Freshman Activities Board (FAB) hosted Kids@Kollege on Sunday, March 3. Kids@Kollege was an event open to children from several organizations around Atlanta. The purpose of the event was to encourage science education in a fun way and to provide a philanthropic event for GT students. Experiments displayed by Georgia Tech students included: Diet Coke and Mentos, bottle rockets, a catapult, the pickle light, crushing cans, and tornado in a bottle. FAB member Rob Parrish said, "Some of the experiments malfunctioned, but the kids really enjoyed themselves anyways. It was really rewarding to see them so excited about science." Georgia Tech student athletes were at the event as well, including football, volleyball, track, and the Gold Rush dance team members. [ read more ]
