Davit and Swing Stage System - Complete

Davit Work Locations and Schedule (updated May 20, 2009)

All buildings will have a davit and swing stage system installed, to facilitate future maintenance and repairs. The ability to hang swing stages off of the building will eliminate the need for an expensive scaffolding system when future repairs to the building are required. This work involves drilling into the concrete roof slab to secure permanent anchors. The davit arms that support the swing stage are attached to these anchors when in use. Layout work, imaging of the slab to locate reinforcing steel, drilling anchors into the slab, and patching of the roof are the primary activities that will be underway as a part of this scope of work.
